So, after a month of waiting for its arrival from Deutschland, and, despite USPS’ efforts to destroy it, N64_freak’s Xbox HDMI mod made it to my doorstep.

The package...FFS USPS!

I was surprised to find that the item was actually still inside the box.

I proceeded to open up my Xbox HALO edition console and desolder the I/o port.

Cleanly desoldered, using the proper tools and techniques, resulting in no destroyed plated through holes.

^^^ Third and final PCB soldered in. This is where the actual conversion to HDMI occurs. Now it can be plugged straight away into any modern TV via HDMI, instead of by the proprietary MS port with its shitty composite output, or the HD pack that eBay gougers are selling for nearly $80 for component out video.

My god - that package!

It's simply incredible the contents weren't completely destroyed. Wow!
