I got inspired by an image I saw on the interwebz of another Commodore user's C64 setup and made myself a stand for my 1084S today, viewing the monitor is actually far more pleasant with the monitor at eye level. It's difficult to see in the image provided, but I built the stand so that it angles up slightly.

Nice work! Looks like that could be a picture from the mid 80’s!

Nice! If you made it wider, you could slide the C64 under there when you are not using it. Kind of like a ghetto A1000 keyboard drawer!

Very cool! The dimension look very similar to mine. Although mine isn't angled which is a neat idea.

I made it tall enough to slide lots of goodies under there, but only wanted it the width of the monitor. DC's idea of a C64 garage is a pretty cool one, though.

Intric8, your 1701 looks soooo good! They're rare as hen's teeth down here.

Cool monitor stand. Looks like NovaTerm running, calling... which BBS is that? :)

yup always had 3 pieces of plywood to keep the monitor elevated and pass all the cables through since 83 though for me it was 1st for a small b&w tv, then an orange CRT and then finally in 88 I was lucky enough to be a very proud owner of a used 1084  <3
