Hiya,
Does anyone know a good tutorial on replacing the A4000 PSU Fan?

What are the needed dimensions anyway? How big is it. It's so noisy...

Thanks.

If you replace the fan with a silent one, makes sure it’s moving the same amount of air (CFH) as the original. Many of those silent ones don’t move as much as the old, loud ones, and, given how poor the airflow is inside the 4000 case is already (one of the worst designed, cheapest feeling cases commodore produced) you don’t want to reduce it.

Thanks. Indeed something to take into account. Do you happen to know how many mm it is? 80mm?

I believe it is 80mm. I'll check my case when I get home this evening to make sure though.

Thanks. Would be great.

What about the Noctua then? Seen here (https://youtu.be/2HJCK2SexSE?t=383) in a A2000 PSU fan replacement by Jan Beta. He has the Noctua NF-A8 ULN edition. It's a series of three where the ULN edition is the quietest.

ULN: 10.4dB - 1400 rpm
FLX: 16.1 dB - 2000 rpm
PWM: 17.7 dB - 2200 rpm

And then there is something with the pins as well. Maybe it's better to get the three pin one.

Checked it myself and the dimensions are 80x25. Pretty straightforward so it seems. I'll let you know.. :)
