I wanted to add this picture of the NOS 68030RP25C I used. This little guy popped up in the States on eBay months ago. It's kind of nice to have one that isn't the typical re-badge so common for eBay. Not that there's anything wrong with those, 030's seem to run whatever clock you ask of them no-matter what's printed on the lid..

Still, this one is certainly a nice specimen.

Firebird completely finished:

Foxconn PCI slots salvaged from Pentium-II motherboard, and very nice 100-pin and 36-pin AliExpress edge card sockets. For the 54-pin socket I cut two 36-pin sockets in half with a 3D printed miter box and hack saw blade. Just a bit of super glue and a steady hand was all it took to make a nearly invisible bond.

Afterwards the Firebird was run through the ultrasonic cleaner with a flux removing solution and the result is a nice clean daughter board....

Thought I'd add a picture of the DSP. This was salvaged from a crusty old Mac Quadra 660AV motherboard....

Sorry, I somehow missed this... yep! It's all mounted up in a case with an A3660, X-Surf 100, RapidRoad, 10K 73GB SCSI drive, and working great. I ended up using one of my other spare 3000's for it's chassis, I'll get around to having the other case power coated eventually and stick the now homeless 3000 motherboard in that.

Here's the completed build, sorry it's not the best picture.

And here's the A3660 I built for it.
