I've had in my collection for the past 30 years a small device that has Go-64! embossed on it. One end has a connector that looks like it connects to the amiga external disk drive port and on the other end a 6 pin din connector. Im assuming it is an adapter to connect a 1541 drive to read 64 disks. Of cosrse I do not have the software or manuals for it.....i really don't know how I came acrossed it... It's the only mystery item have in my large amiga collection. Any help appreciated.

That is the 1541 adapter for the Go-64 emulator. It plugs into the Amiga's parallel port, and allows the emulator talk to a 1541 drive.

I still have mine, and use it with the CLI utilities from The A64 Package to transfer files between my Amiga and C64.

If you are planning on using it, proceed with caution. I believe there were two versions of that hardware, one for the A1000, and one for the A500/A2000. Make sure that you have the right one for your Amiga i.e., make sure that you are plugging it into the parallel port, and not the serial port.

Thank you so much! I figured that was what it was for but without software or manuals for it i didnt want to take a chance and just try it.....also the lack of a 1541 lol. Probably got it with one of my 1000s years ago. Hard telling. Thanks again
