Trying to get my A1000 working to possibly put it up for sale as I simply am not using it (I still have my trusty ole A1200). In anywise first step was to re-attach one of the wires from the internal Spirit board. At least now I get the Kickstart disk prompt. Now the issue is when I insert the kickstart disk the drive grinds to bring the heads to where they are to start but they then don't move, they just click there like they are failing to read the disk. I have written many disks using verification in Xcopy using Doscopy+ mode. I was able to get it to boot once but then my Workbench disk had an error and since then I just can't seem to get it to boot any kickstart disk I throw at it.

Does this sound like an alignment issue? I do have a Goex On Pills Gotek in my A1200 that I could try hooking up to the A1000 but seems like task for when I have time. Other than that was else could be the cause?

Thanks
