I thought I had a video cable, I know I do, I thought this was it, but it won't plug in to my 1084, fits the video port perfectly on my 1000 though.

Looks like the video cord to the 1084D(aewoo).

Could I put a gender changer on it and use it with my particular 1084?

I still need to take this baby apart, clean it, and repair/replace a few switches that don't "lock" like they're supposed to.

You would have to see what the pinout is of that 1084. If it is the same pinout then you probably could use a gender changer.

I'll see if I can find the pinout...

EDIT: From the manuals I have the pinout should be the same for Analog RGB:

Code: Select all

Pin	Connection
1	Ground
2	Ground
3	RED
4	GREEN
5	BLUE
6	----
7	SYNC
8	----
9	----

Much appreciated, I am in the middle of figuring out some Retro Arch stuff for a user on YouTube and trying to put an older PC together to use a Adaptec SCSI card that I finally found in my stuff to hopefully build an Amiga 2000 image on an SCSI hard drive.

Awesome. Glad it worked. The picture looks great. For me there is nothing like a CRT.

I'll have to go out to my storage building soon, looking through pictures of when I got the Amiga computers, I got an actual Amiga monitor, but I have several monitors in the building and this 1084 was the closest and easiest to get out at the time.

Glad you got the picture sorted. I think this is the cable that came with the A1080 monitor.
I believe they had the opposite gender on the 9pin side.
