Journey's end on the A1000. The Rejuvenator is a bit more of a mod than I would have originally thought I would do. However, this guy is going back to my friend and he really needs PAL and the 1MB chip to really be able to use it fully.

If/when I get another A1000, it will just be 68010 + Parceiro II. I have the A1200 for stuff that won't run in NTSC and/or need more than 512kib chip.

I present, my completed A1000:

Take a look at 68sec000. It is 100% 68000 code compatible, but it forward compatible with 68030. So you'd be able to run A3000 NTSC stuff too if you have enough fast RAM which I think you do.

Sweet setup! This is identical to what I am building... I have an A1000 with 68010 & Parceiro II.. Just getting my Rejuvenator all sorted out to get it installed. I think Rejuvenator + Parceiro II is the perfect combination.

My P2 setup is like this:

- Rejuve w/ 2MB Chip
- Parceiro II

However, I originally had an AdSpeed (14Mhz) installed. I actually sourced one for David, and he worked a ton on getting the P2 to work with it. And in his circumstance it does.

But for some reason the AdSpeed + P2 combo locks my machine up. Something about the timing it cranky, unfortunately.

However, if you have a 68010, you can increase your I/O about 10-20%. And the reads/writes are already so much better than the P1 it's amazing.

Just a quiet slow trombone on the AdSpeed for me.

I'm wrapping up a video about the P2. Hopefully by tomorrow...

congrats this is the dream Amiga 1000 setup ! I’m still waiting for chips to come that I ordered over a year ago for my Rejuvenator

spiff intric8 does the rejuvenator plug into the standard daughter board risers AND denise/paula/agnus sockets? That must be fiddly...
EDIT: Yes, yes it does.

What's a set of dream modifications to rejuvenator for folks? Different ram packages is a layout / cost improvement. I was thinking an integrated rgb2hdmi spot might be good? Just have the pi zero header there, so it's optional...

Seems the board could potentially be smaller as well, and an option could be to remove the A2000 style video slot.

There's alot of wire leads to motherboard, what are all those signals?

Final Q, does the 256k front expansion ram just become 'slow' ram? Or is it still part of the chip ram?

It is fiddly, but doable with some patience.

With the 3.2.1 ROM, the onboard 512k turns into FAST ram. The system has 1m chip and 8.5m of FAST.

I am getting kitted up to be able to burn ROMS so I can use the 1.3 KS. Not sure if that will make a difference to the memory layout.

On my A1K with OS 1.3, I'm running:
- Rejuve with 2MB chip
- (currently) Microbotics Starboard 2 R2
- SLAM with 8MB Fast (but it only accesses 7MB)

SysInfo shows the 2mb chip, and 7mb fast, then the onboard/leftover 506K RAM as Slow.

Correction, both SysInfo and AmigaTestKit call the 512k on board SLOW.

Where did you find DRAMs to cover 2MB Chip?

Also, back in time, I talked to David about the AdSpeed and he said he is going to work on that.
