I have A4000 with 64MB ram hacked. The system clock shows January 1, 1978 at every boot. Even if I set it from the system. Original battery replaced with CR2032. When I try to adjust with the AmigaTestKit software, it shows 2041. Even if I set it, it says the date is wrong and goes back to 2041. Any ideas on the solution?

it would be worth posting close up photos of the battery/rtc area of the board as likely you have some eaten traces that have failed or a failed rtc chip.

good to know as I had the same issue years ago but since I always have my A4000 connected to the net I just sync it with a time serrver at bootup and always have correct time so didn't bother with fixing the RTC.
