Asking here as there seems to be no shortage of Amiga 1000 love on these forums.

Has anyone had any luck running the amazing new Batman Rises demo on an Amiga 1000? It’s supposed to be OCS compatible.

My A1000 is a stock NTSC model with internal floppy and no kickstart ROM.

I have a Parceiro (1st gen) expansion. Have tried with this connect and disconnected. Makes no difference.

I’ve tried a variety of methods marking the floppy disks from the 2 ADF files and while these work on my Amiga 600, I just can’t get them to work on my A1000.

On my A1000, after booting with Kickstart 1.3 I insert disk 1 of Batman Rises and it start to read the disk, the screen goes white, and the disk light stays on… and that’s it! Nothing happens.

Can someone else try it out on an NTSC Amiga 1000?

Here’s a link to the demo:

Same thing on my setup. I bet it is NTSC. Need to try again with the Rejuvenator set to PAL.

Did you try it in WinUAE?

No, I did not try WinUAE. I did however try it on my PAL A600 in both PAL and NTSC modes and the demo works correctly in both modes using the same floppy disks I’m trying with my A1000.

I guess my NTSC-only A1000 is less compatible.
