Hello all,

I have recently acquired an Amiga 1000 and knowingly without any kickstart and wb diskettes.

Does anyone know anyone who is selling these? Or, does anyone know how to progress?

Perhaps these would work: ... 1512064794

But, it would be swell to get the original disks. I shall keep a look out.

The disks you link to should indeed work just fine if you can't find a working original set.

These are even cheaper.

I remember a long time ago I bought Amiga Forever and it came with the entire digital version of each disk, too, which you can move onto your own floppies.
  • OS ROM file versions v. 0.7, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.04, 2.05 (Workbench 2.1 uses the 2.0x ROMs), 3.1 and 3.X
  • OS disk images (ADF files) v. 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 2.1 and 3.1
Forever also comes with "Amiga Explorer" which is a file browser utility you can use on a PC to not only see your Amiga's files but move files over to it.

Hey intric8,
I have 2016 premium edition, but in my ROM folder I have:

Code: Select all

amiga-boot-a1000.rom amiga-os-310-a1200.rom
amiga-boot-a4091.rom amiga-os-310-a3000.rom
amiga-boot-a590.rom amiga-os-310-a4000.rom
amiga-crt-310-cd32-fmv.rom amiga-os-310-a4000t.rom
amiga-os-070.rom amiga-os-310-a600.rom
amiga-os-100.rom amiga-os-310-cd32.rom
amiga-os-110-ntsc.rom amiga-os-310-cd32-ext.rom
amiga-os-110-pal.rom amiga-os-320-walker.rom
amiga-os-120.rom amiga-os-3x0-a1200.rom
amiga-os-130.rom amiga-os-3x0-a3000.rom
amiga-os-130-a3000.rom amiga-os-3x0-a4000.rom
amiga-os-130-a570-ext.rom amiga-os-3x0-a4000t.rom
amiga-os-130-cdtv-ext.rom amiga-os-3x0-a600.rom
amiga-os-140-a3000.rom aros-20170328.rom
amiga-os-204.rom aros-20170328-ext.rom
amiga-os-204-a3000.rom logica-dialoga-200.rom
amiga-os-205-a600.rom ralphschmidt-cyberstorm-ppc-4471.rom
amiga-os-230-cdtv-ext.rom rom.key
amiga-os-300-a1200.rom villagetronic-picasso-iv-74.rom
And adf:

Code: Select all

af-boot.adf amiga-os-300-workbench.adf
amiga-os-100-workbench.adf amiga-os-310-extras.adf
amiga-os-110-workbench.adf amiga-os-310-fonts.adf
amiga-os-120-workbench.adf amiga-os-310-install.adf
amiga-os-134-extras.adf amiga-os-310-locale.adf
amiga-os-134-workbench.adf amiga-os-310-storage.adf
amiga-os-200-workbench.adf amiga-os-310-workbench.adf
amiga-os-204-workbench.adf aros-20170328-boot.adf
I guess I can just do a raw copy of the ROM file to a diskette and a raw copy of the workbench file to a diskette. Wondering how you did it for the ROM since this is not a typical adf file.
