Jens from Icomp sent me a prototype 8375 adapter. I am using a 318069-10 8375 in it. I get a yellow screen. I had to remove the motherboard to test this. Might be able to get it going but no luck yet as I am getting a yellow screen. I see there is a jumper to select 1MB or 2MB agnus and still no dice. The install manual speaks of a jumper 104 pal/ntsc but my board doesn't have it.

Before trying to upgrade your Agnus, was your Rejuvenator working A-OK at 1MB in the default setup?

No idea what that "prototype adapter" does; however, if the Rejuvenator is made for using a 8372(A)B, the 318069-10 won't work. You need one that fits the A3000, ie 318069-03, 318069-18 or 318069-19.

The 318069-10 is for the A500+ and some A500/2000 "megichip" (or similar) adapters.

It's all in the list I posted (which is wrong in one particular point: The 390544-0x sure don't fit the A3000, if they are also for the A500. Those two need a different pin layout.)

It took a while but I did find some 8372B and 8372AB chips on eBay (thanks Joeuser!). Some guy had a few and I went plum buck f'n wild and bought 3 AB chips and 1 B (also got 3 amber chips). It took forever for those little memory boards to show up. My brother put together the 4 new memory chips and I was able to successfully test all 4 Agnus chips and they worked. They would not work with the 1MB of original ram, they only worked when the 2MB of ram was installed. So I now have a Rejuvenator with 2MB or ram thanks to all of the pioneering here on Amiga Love! I was also able to snag 2 more Microbotics. One was just the memory without an add on board, the other has the multifunction card (which I was looking for).

I'm just glad you were able to snag one of the chips that would work for ya! I sent word as soon as I saw them, so glad you were able to capitalize on it.

Regarding the Microbotics, are you speaking about Starboard 2 interfaces? If that's the case, and you have a spare one with SCSI I'd absolutely like to discuss them with you!

Joe,

The two I got did not have the stardrive module. I need to check in on the guy who was making the new modules, I haven't heard back from him in a while. I think the last thing I read was he was having problems securing the scsi chips.

Gotcha, thanks. Amazing thing, reverse engineering. Hope he gets back to you soon with good news!

If he gets to the point where he produces many boards for sale then I'll definitely be in the market for one.
