I recently went with a floppy disk box from our basement to a friend who still has real hardware set up.
In this box we found among other things a floppy disk which caused trouble with Amiga Inc 15 years ago, in 2006.
The homemade Kickstart3.9 which boots on the A1000.
No backup ... and big luck ... no read errors.

That's awesome! I've had a similar experience when I re-discovered my old floppy disk box (thought lost) in the attic of my parent's house. :D

Since my Commodore man-cave is operational, I am (still) working on doing backups of all those disks.

Love these stories! I was lucky enough to bring all my old C64 and Amiga floppies with me to my house after I got married back in 1999 so my mother didn’t have a chance to throw them away lol
