Welcome!!

we are of a similar age. Any stories around your Amigas back then and now? What do/did you do with them? Gaming exclusively or Olson maybe rendering or programming?

Did you have an memorable moments back the that were special? Like I had when almost literally my jaw dropped when seeing an Amiga with Defender of the Crown for the very first time... still remember that.

Welcome physicist1973!

Thanks for joining. I have 1 year on you. ;)

Any photos of your A500 would be most appreciated. Do you recall the year you acquired your original setup?

Welcome, welcome. Like you, I am skirting that late 40’s vintage. Also started with a 500. I bought a friends A1200 setup a while back, which was rather lucky. Hope you find one at a reasonable price, or maybe fpga might be a good way to go. I am in London, what part of the land are you located?

Welcome! I am happy people are still coming back to the Amiga fun. A500 was my first Amiga too.

Welcome! 48 here as well....and my first Amiga was a 500 I bought on the C= student discount plan they offered to college students back then (1084s monitor, A500 and 512K expansion memory for $800) in 1990.

Good luck finding a 1200! Unfortunately, the prices have skyrocketed (at least over here on this side of the pond where they were not as common) the last 6 years or so. Too rich for my blood to get into now, so thankfully I grabbed one of each model a few years back (and built other ones from scratch with the reproduction motherboards).

Hello physicist1973 and all other fellow gray haired Amigans. I'm early 40s myself.
