I posted this on EAB also. Perhaps someone has had similar issues but unless my monitor is shifted quite far to the left of the A1000 the disk drive just will not read.

I have had the monitor in the middle and turned off and the disk drive will read. I am guessing that this is interference but the 1000 is shielded.

Just though I may as well post this.

If it hasn't been done already, the first thing I would suggest is to ground the daughterboard PALs as described on page 10 of the Inboard instruction manual.

Here's a photo of my daughterboard (ignore the red circle markups). You can see the heavy black wire that I used to connect the grounds together. From there a longer wire goes to the motherboard, and attaches to one of the power supply mounting screws.
