I have two A3000s, both with an updated SCSI chip and fitted with a SCSI2SD v6. The speeds I get from them seems to be less than optimal, even in the heavily expanded one of the two (CS MK II /060/50MHz). At best, via SysInfo (not the best benchmark), I get 1.2 mb/sec. I had read on old newgroup posts (circa 1992-93) that the 3000 was capable of 5-6mb/sec speeds on the top SCSI HDDs of the day, and I would THINK that this flash-based solution, with a 10mb/sec transfer rate (on manufacturer's web site), would perform as well as, if not better than, an old SCSI spinning drive. If you are able to get better than 1.2mb/sec on your A3000, using its stock controller, please fill me in on your settings!
Thank you!
