After several months of waiting, my ZZ9000 RTG card finally arrived in my grubby little hands.

Installation was smooth and I was happily computing in 1280x1024 in no time. The issue I'm having seems relatively widespread - the 256mb of Fast RAM is not detected on cold boot, but doing the 3-finger salute fixes this.

I know some of you have a ZZ9000, what workaround have you implemented on your system?

My machine has so much RAM I typically ignore it. If I ever reboot I get it, but yeah. Usually it goes unused for me.

Kinda sucks it's not simply there the first time. If it was I wouldn't even want/need a separate RAM card to be honest.

That being said I've got a .5G card on the way... :P

@ Hook

I have a VA2000&CX so don't have the issue you're having with your ZZ9000 but as Eric mentioned already I recommend you get one of these bad boys to solve your Fast Ram issues ;) viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2369

It's not possible to add a "reboot" command with a condition in your startup-sequence to fix this ?

Apparently so, MMULibs has Move4K, but I've yet to try it out.

I've added MuMove4K in my startup sequence just before SetPatch: and that did the trick.

It's a shame that this isn't documented in the quick start guide or included in the card's software package because the issue is widespread with every single card.
