Last month while in the process of being given a gorgeous Amiga poster, I also purchased an original Commodore store sign/light from the same individual. It was not cheap but it was a holy grail item I'd never had the chance to acquire before, let alone see in-person outside of an actual store in the past 30+ years.

So I went for it.

It's so special, so incredible, I actually removed everything I had on a shelf on one side of my Commodore Cave and put the sign in its place, with a C= Sale Cartridge as an ornament.

I was told the light doesn't work. I haven't even opened it up to look and see what kind of light housing is flopping around in there yet. I was thinking I might find an LED replacement anyway and swap out whatever broken thing is inside it.

It's not obvious in the photos, but this thing is kind of big. It measures 30 inches wide, 10 inches tall and 6 inches deep.

30w x 10h x 6d

or in centimeters:

75.2 x 25.4 x 15.24

It also has some heft to it but I haven't actually weighed it.

The sign's plastic front is a little yellowed which is likely due to hanging in the front store window for years. But honestly this is a rare case where I don't mind it at all. (And if I ever do fix the light, it won't really be noticeable when in use anyway.) But I like the aged look. There is a little dent in the front soft aluminum housing, which you can see, that it got at some point in its lifetime. Other than that it's pretty much perfect as far as I'm concerned.

It still surprises me to see it on my shelf when I walk into my computer room.

Very Nice! It is a prize indeed. It's amazing that it survived all these years. Brings back memories of Lee and Nick at Tech Star in Kent, Wa.
