Hi all,

I am trying to get Angband 3.03 (preferrably) or zAngband 2.62 to run on my Amiga with 2MB Chip, a 030@50 and 128MB RAM.

However, both on my real and emulated (WinUAE) Amigas, the system will crash or freeze at the "loading graphics" screen. I waited >> 10 min.

If the system crashes, I get 6 LED blinks and thats it.
SnoopDOS, creating a logfile to harddisk, doesnt report anything.

I already raised the stack to 30000.

Anyone have some experience with either programs??

After the hype around Roguecraft I wanted to try some of the originals from back then.

Cheers,
McT

I have Angband 2.9.1 and 3.0.1 on a machine. I never got 3.0.1 to run. However, 2.9.1 fires right up with no problems.

Inside the 301 version there is a long document called "angband.guide" which includes a section on installation. According to the document Angband should be able to run on just about any Amiga you throw at it. However, that's not been my personal experience regardless of OS.

But at least for today, I confirmed 291 works in 1.3 and 2.04. The document suggests 2.04 and above, and recommends 3.1.

If you figure out how to get 301 to run I'd be curious what you did. The guide implies it should simply work but it doesn't.
