The A1K keyboard was originally 16" x 6.25" x 1+3/8" in size.
1+3/8 inches would be 35 mm. So we would need an extra 5mm. How much additional clearance is there in the garage? If it's 5mm ( 0.2 inches ) or more then it may fit.

Wow what a cool project! Looking forward to checking this out.

Man my backlog of soldering together all these projects I have acquired parts for is getting long and this is going to add to it. lol

This is amazing! Any chance this might evolve into a keyboard for the A500/A1200 one day?

I'm just one of three I know that have already produced an A600/A1200 keyboard - they're available. And they're pretty easy since those two machines have the encoder on the mainboard and not on the keyboard PCB.

The A500 is much harder since it does have the encoder on the keyboard PCB. The encoder chip is hard to find. Linux Jedi has produced a replacement for 25 pounds on Tindie, but I don't know of any other.
