After four years of development and rigorous testing, we are proud to announce that the best accelerator ever built for the Amiga A1200 is finally ready for release. The Trinity 1240-60 is a state-of-the-art, brand-new accelerator that supports 68040-68060 CPUs and is compatible with all A1200 revisions. We have taken great care to ensure that access to chip memory is optimized whether you have a 68040 or a 68060.

We have taken great care to ensure that access to chip memory is optimized whether you have a 68040 or a 68060, making it the best accelerator to enjoy all the demoscene content created for Amiga. We have conducted numerous tests comparing the Trinity with the famous Blizzard 1260 and found that the Trinity performed better in all tested demos.

Full Specs:

128MB SDRAM Fast memory
Optimized chip memory access at any CPU clock speed
68040/68060 compatible (via jumper)
Onboard I2S 16-bit stereo sound card compatible with AHI
Includes a 3.5mm jack Paula PassThrough
Software interface for changing speed (MHz)
Expansion connector for future upgrades
Compatible with any A1200 motherboard revision
Compatible with PCMCIA
Compatible with Kickstart 3.1 (recommended 3.1.4 / 3.2)

Would be cool to see chip speed vs Blizzard and TF1260.

From what I gather in different places, the expansions are considered to be like the Spanish Inquisition. No one expects them. Sorry if the reference is too obscure by now.

The Trinity with the not surfacing expansions left a bad example, that’s why interest might be low.

According to our tests, it all depends on how fast you have your blizzard 1260. For example at 50mhz the results are as follows:

chip $00018000 readl 895.1 ns normal 4.5 * 10^6 byte/s
chip $00018000 readm 894.9 ns normal 4.5 * 10^6 byte/s
chip $00018000 writel 728.8 ns normal 5.5 * 10^6 byte/s
chip $00018000 writem 729.3 ns normal 5.5 * 10^6 byte/s

And to blizzard 1260/66Mhz are 4.5 in chip readl and readm and 7.0 in writel and writem

In TF1260 the same, it all depends on how fast you have the clock.

The trinity has that ability, to try to have the best access to the memory chip regardless of the Mhz that has been set.
this is our bustest at 66Mhz:

Hi,
this might be relevant in a few months. Currently I am working on the last parts of my Phoenix. Ok, I said that many times before, but I am a believer 😊.

Anyway, this is less about me but about the folks on other forums that are suspicious about the expansion port never seeing anything for it.

Btw does this soundcard have AHI and decide mp3?

Both the trinity and tsunami are sold as is. Yes, there is an expansion socket but you have to buy neither one thinking that in a few months an expansion with RTG, USB, Ethernet, WIFI, ARM...etc... will be released. No.

The trinity sound card has AHI driver but it doesn't decode mp3.
