This article (from CDM) shows how the simplicity/portability of trackers(formats) still have something unique to offer, in an music-software ERA which gets more and more complex & nonportable.
In this release we have released milkypack01 (a collection samples to be used in a tracker).
Perhaps it's an idea to re-issue some of the musicdisks found in the amigalove.com archive, and reference to its location at amigalove?
(I've noticed some of them have some samples in them).
I mean, there's something raw about those 8bit samples [sampled by an 8 bit sampler] which cannot simply be reproduced by slamming a bitcrusher on a sample (it's a whole pipeline of amiga-hardware to get that amount of 'grit').
