It’s a small point-of-sale system’s monitor I found on eBay a few years ago. Lucked out and discovered by accident that it accepts 15kHz signals natively just by plugging the Amiga into it without any kind of scandoubler :). It also has composite and Svideo inputs.
This probably sounds crazy to some, but something like that would be totally great for my CDTV some day.

Just wanted to make a post as a recipient of Obitus' efforts on my A1200 motherboard. As the photos he posted the other day show (yeah, that's my board), he replaced the original capacitors, as well as worked on the video/color outputs. What are my thoughts on his work? Well, let me post a few photos that I took after I installed the board today & fired it up.

A quick shot of desktop (running OS 3.1 with MagicWorkbench).

Another shot of desktop (great colors!)

Final shot with Workbench drawer open & clock running.

I can honestly say that I'm quite impressed with the workmanship. You'd have to have seen what the desktop looked like a few weeks ago when I first booted it up (after a very long hibernation period) to appreciate what you see here.

Obitus did burn & install 3.1.4 ROM's for me but I had to temporarily reinstall 3.0 ROM's to get things fired up. I have hardware upgrades ordered & en route from Amigakit that will improve the performance of the machine.

I highly recommend Obitus' services. I was pleased with the updates that he sent me informing of the progress being made. I thought the prices were more than fair, especially considering the work performed (and the results!).

If there are any questions or comments, I'd be happy to provide additional feedback.

Good stuff. I've searched high and low for a cheap S-Video capable 4:3 mini display that I can just use for bench work. If you can figure out a model number, that would be great!

Some work I did for a member here today. Recapped two NTSC Amiga 600s, using organic polymer Panasonic caps. These won't be leaking again any time soon. One A600 needed an RCA jack replaced due to heavy corrosion from leakage of the nearby caps. I only had white ones on hand, but, it is upgraded to a gold plated contact as a tradeoff for not being red :)

I removed the two RF modulators per request (maybe an Indivision or a Vampire is in the works for these machines, and the space was needed for the VGA or HDMI out ports?)

The owner had licenses for 3.1.4, so I burned ROMs for him for all three machines.

Finally, I built one of EzdineG's A1000 Kickstart Relocators, and did the needed modifications to the daughterboard to make it work.
