I booted up the old 1200 today only to discover that the colors seem ... off. Not only that, but the icons look strangely ghosted out. I just had this unit recapped a month and a half or so ago so I know it's not a cap issue. I've attached photos for reference. Anyone have any ideas on what's going on here?

I tested the component connection using my old 1702 monitor. The colors display properly on that monitor. It leads me to believe that the issue is either: bad RGB port; bad SCART cable; malfunctioning SCART/HDMI box. Not sure how to narrow it down any further than that. Unfortunately, the main monitor doesn't accept the RGB to VGA connection, the signal isn't strong enough.

If I had to put a pin in it, it looks like some sort of clipping, like if you turned the brightness or contrast knobs waaaaay up. I'm guessing the monitor or input port has the issue.

Thanks! I did check the contrast level & brightness level. Nothing changes, in terms of graphics, when I alter those settings. I'm a bit confounded.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I wonder if the monitor itself was the problem.
