Hi!

I have software failure whenever I try to run mui prefs or run certain mui apps.. (eg iGame, that was working not long ago..) tinkering with Mui settings is pretty necessary, so I’m a little stuck.

I reinstalled mui, no dice.. I disabled fblit, nope..

I’m running 3.1.4 on an 8MB upgraded A1200..

The error is:

Error: 8000 0004. Task: 002290D0

I don’t know what to do.. :/ some (most?) Mui apps seem to load okay! Others not so much.

I can’t figure out what I’d need to rename/delete to reset mui to its default config, in case that is the problem?

Thanks if anyone has any ideas. :)

Are any MUI prefs in env: or envarc: ??

Other than that, it might be a specific MUI class causing some hiccups.

You can find that with SnoopDOS.

Thank you!

I'd completely forgotten about Snoopdos! It turned out to be texteditor.mcc! I have no idea at all how that got messed up but it's behaving now and that's great. :D

Sometimes when you install a new Programm they bring their own classes to make sure it’s there.

At that point they might not check if a newer class is already installed, causing issues with the older one.

Glad you got it sorted out 😀.
