Last month I received a few boxes of donations from a couple different directions. Half of what I received I took to my local Commodore club SEA-CCC and divvied it out to club members. It was all entirely gone before the end of the night, and I have more to bring and share at our next meeting.

There were a few things I held onto, however. (And a few things I actually paid for, which I'll show later.) However, one of the free donations I received was this incredible original Commodore Amiga dealer poster - an image I don't think I'd ever seen before. This used to hang in an actual brick and mortar shop in Oregon in the mid-to-late 80s presumably until the day the store ultimately closed in the early 90s.

Notice how the Amiga's monitor seems to display a monochrome spreadsheet of data, which the Amiga could easily provide. But then that splash...

Early on Commodore's marketing put a focus on the creative capabilities of Amiga. Rightfully so.

This poster was professionally attached to a very thick backing in the 80s. Suitable for framing, although I imagine this was simply stuck to a wall as-is.

While employing rather dark hues, I find the image and its history simply magnificent. The only real spot for it is where I currently have an original and large shop print of EPYX Movie Monster, featuring my boy Godzilla. I got this a few years ago and it always puts a smile on my face.

Love that joke up at the top. And that's an original game shop poster for Infocom's "Trinity" game below as well. I have a couple original Infocom promotional posters. I love artifacts like these. The Depeche Mode fan was something I was actually handed at the entrance gates while attending the "Violator" concert in Texas in 1990. And yes, I needed and used it at the time. Glad I've held onto it after all these years. It's a fun pun, too!

So I either bring down Godzilla for a while and rotate things, or and original framed newspaper featuring my favorite sports team winning the World Series in 2016 that hangs on another wall. Can't take that down. But I need to move something around for a while and let the Creative Impulse get some love. I love looking at it and am honored to have it. I'm going to get a frame for it first, though.
