Just wanted to give you guys an update. The incoming and outgoing ports can be set with the WiModem. So, you can choose whatever you like. I had to re-write part of the ESP8266 library in order to make this happen. Nobody seemed interested in doing it.
The WiModem-232 will be in production shortly! This FCC certified (no other modem is!) device should be available by the time CRX rolls around (July 28-30). The WiModem-232 uses a DB-25 connector and plugs into any standard RS-232 serial port. You will be able to order which gender connector you want. The Amiga 1000, and basically every other computer on the planet use the same connector. The Amiga 500, 600, 1200, 2000, 2500, 3000, and 4000 are all backwards from the industry standard. You could use the WiModem-232 with a computer that uses a DB-9 connector for serial (instead of a DB-25, like many laptops do) by using an adapter cable. The WiModem-232 has a nice plastic case (which is basically the size of a DB-25 hood) and has a 2.1mm input plug for power. You can use a 5v wall power supply, obtain power from inside of you computer, or even use a 9v battery! There will be no display on this version, The retail price will be $44.95. The WiModem-232 has all of the same features as the original WiModem.
A guy wrote a PC program (WiBridge) that lets you connect to the WiModem to make file transfers between your C64/128 and PC. More information is available here:

The WiCopy program is coming along. This C64/128 program will let you search online for .d64 images and then make a real disk in your Commodore disk drive! The reverse will also be possible, so you will be able to make a .d64 from your real disk and upload it a server, or the WiModem itself! The WiModem is capable of storing up to 3MB of data on it! In fact, I am working on a virtual disk drive program that will let you 'mount' the WiModem as a 3MB hard drive. This is similar to Commodore's RAM disk for the REU. There will also be a WiCopy for the Amiga for searching and handling .adf images.
I am in the process of setting up a BBS for CBMSTUFF.COM
Don't forget - if you want to take a great vacation, come to CRX (Commodore Retro eXpo), July 28-30, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. This will be the largest Commodore event in the U.S. for 2017! Be part of documentary "The Commodore Story", a Kickstarter project that has been fully funded to bring a DVD and book about the history of Commodore, complete with interviews with many Commodore legends, some of which will be on hand at the event.
