Hallo everyone,
after many years of wanting, I'll finally got my hands on an A3000. Since most machines of this age exhibit yellowing, what color was the faceplate originally? My faceplate is definitely more 'beige' than my A1000 which is almost in mint condition. A couple of references could be the color of the painted metal case - my faceplate matches the metal case color almost exactly, or of the classic 1081 / 1084 monitors which are painted and tend to keep their original color. my A3000 faceplate is also more 'beige' than the casing of one of these monitors. Does anyone have any accurate references?? I don't want to retrobrite - in particular if it is not even needed.
Thanks,
David

From a post about A3000 case screws, they refer to the case color, I think the faceplate and the case are the same on the A3000.

Krylon Satin Pebble 5572

Not trying to hijack this thread but thinking more along the lines of grouping info...
I'm wondering about the A2000 faceplate color if anyone has knowledge.

Thanks. I'm coming to think that the case and face were the same color. That would make the A3000 more beige than the A1000 or C128. Unfortunately the Krylon paints don't seem to be available in Europe.

David
