I'd recommend trying again. Here are my gerbers that I generated, following the JLCPCB guidelines for gerbers. Make sure you're specifying all the layers when generating. I don't recommend anyone make boards from these, because invariably, they will be obsolete if any changes are made to the board.

Thanks for your file. It help me find my mistakes (I used KiCAD v.6 and that was biggest culprit).

A few more steps of assembly completed as parts arrive. These SOJ to DIP adapters are a pain (I hate soldering J-leg ICs), but man, the Agnus adapter takes the cake. Super-fine soldering all while trying to avoid bridges. Pardon all the flux residues, I haven't cleaned anything up yet.

Does anyone know if the small SMD caps on the RAM adapters need to be used? The sockets they plug into already have decoupling caps inline with them, so, it seems kind of redundant to me if that is what the tiny SMD caps are for as well. Thanks!

You don’t need the extra caps. At least I didn’t use them in my build above.

Yea, that Agnus adapter is something else!

My A1000 is.....

Rejuvenated!!!

Definitely not an installation for an amateur, in my opinion! Over 150 pins have to be lined up and pressed into place through the Rejuvenator and into the A1000 sockets. Not to mention that having to completely disassemble the 1000 to remove the motherboard so you can install it on a firm surface, such as a benchtop, is extremely labor intensive.

With a knife tip they are easy to solder. I am using another kind of SOJ to DIP adapter, they are bit smaller and can fit on each socket.

What revision is your A1000 motherboard? It's under the floppy drive.

Thanks!
