Has anyone had both TF536 and A2630 BigRam accelerators and compared the two? Pros and Cons? I have the A2630 BigRam 112mb. It runs fine on my Amiga 2000HD but I'm looking for a performance boost and understand the TF536 clocks at 50MHz. I have not found any information on the net or youtube that compares them. I'm looking for insight before I potentially waste money on the TF536. The TF536 clocks at 50MHz and has 64MB ram. The A2630 Bigram clocks at 24MHz with 112MB ram. One is faster the other has more ram. Are there known compatibility issues with TF536? Does LW5 work with TF536? Etc

Thanks!

My setup:
Amiga 2000HD
Amiga OS 3.2
ACE2b 2mb chipram extender
A2630 BigRam 112MB
A2091 w/ SCSI2SD V6 32GB SD card
ZZ9000
ZZ9000AX

Thanks,

Unless I'm told otherwise it does not look like either TF534 or TF536 will suit my needs. TF534 has FPU but with only 4MB ram. TF536 does not have FPU but has 64GB. I need FPU for LW5 for 3D rendering. It appears I may need to wait for either an 040 or 060 accelerator if one is even available for the A2000 platform. I'd rather not go with the Firebird Apollo V4 Vampire 080 as the ZZ9000 already serves some of that function.

Currently your best option indeed is the homebrew “dicke Olga” z.B. Matze from A1k. It’s an 030.
Should be available on Amibay.

Otherwise you could give a kidney or two for an old Blizzard 2060 or 2040.

IComp is said to work on an ACA2000, yhou could then add a 060 or 040 accelerator for the A1200. Don’t hold your breath, though.

Thanks for the reply. I'll read up on the homebrew “dicke Olga” z.B. Matze from A1k. One other note I know that the Buffee chip is being developed but it could be another year or more before its released.

That project is just about dead in the water, worst money I ever spent.

Get the TF and you will love it, I got one and its awesome for a a2000 - for an A3000 or A4000 get the BFG and a 060 and youll be happy.

The TF may have some issues with the autoconfig. So you might have some trouble depending on your expansions.

Thanks for your thoughts on this. I hope it not dead, I actually pre-ordered a Buffee last fall. But truthfully, ive considered getting a refund until hopefully they release it some day. Regarding TF, I would only consider the TF534 for the FPU as I want LW5 to function (i do not have toaster card).
Thanks

Thanks for the fyi. That's an interesting caveat adding complication. Good to know.

So a few days ago I bought a PPS 040 2000 Accelerator with 8mb ram. Im waiting on delivery. I bought 32mb of ram to upgrade it. I will be replacing the cooling fan as it was recommended. I dropped alot of money it, meh. Apparently an 060 cpu is compatible in it so maybe one day i'll look into that well after verifying the card works.

That’s an awesome find and an I credible option!!

You need be aware that the 040 is slightly more tricky to setup due to the required libraries.

The 060 probably can be used. Never had one. Never had a 040. What I think to remember is that you may have to adapt some voltages. It is probably really worth it. Just make sure to check every online resource on how to do this.

There might not be too many resources on the PPS, you could as well check on guides for the Blizzard 2040.
