Hi all,

Just completed setting up my A500 with 68030 accelerator, ROM 2.04 (Which I prefer to stick with), MegaChip 2MB Chip etc etc. I went through major efforts getting AmiTCP setup on the machine with a Plipbox but successful I was in the end. I can ping Google, other machines on the network, other machines can successfully ping my Amiga.

Problem im having is, when I run Amiga Explorer on the Amiga with AmiTCP running, the program loads successfully and using the TCPIP mode. It sits there waiting for a connection from my PC all correct. The instant I try to run Amiga Explorer on my PC to connect to my Amiga, AE on the Amiga errors out and closes displaying an error "Socket Initialization Error" and I cannot for the life of me find out why. Could it be a Windows 11 firewall? Something on the Amiga? Im really not sure and would really appreciate any input or ideas. Cheers :)

The error sounds more like an issue on the Amiga side.
It’s been some time since I last used AE.
Could you provide a screenshot of the tooltips?
Also, please run SnoopDOS and check for failures.
You probably are aware, but YMMV with Kick 2.04.
